LIVE: Stan the 701

FARGO — What makes a state great? Time to find out in Fargo.

It’s 701 Day in the metro, both in honor of the July 1st date and in honor of the 701 area code of North Dakota.

Fargo Park District folks are bringing the live music, crafts with a local focus, foods, flower arranging, and celebration of everything that makes the 701 area code a great place to be.

The event starts at 4 P.M. in downtown’s Broadway Square.

It’s geared for all ages, with more adult-themed activities in the evening in 701 After Dark.

Since it launched back before the pandemic, Fargo parks officials say, it’s grown, and families who come say it’s a regular feature on their calendar.

Fargo Parks’ Katelin Madsen says they think it’ll be about 400 people in the square for 701 Day tonight.

She joined the Morning Show for a live interview to talk about some of the hidden gems of the 701, and what she loves finding out about the region.
