New Economic Frontier to Turn In Petitions To Get Legal Marijuana on the November Ballot

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — The group behind the latest effort to legalize marijuana in North Dakota is ready to turn in its petitions.
New Economic Frontier says the group will drop off the signatures at the state capitol on Monday, which is the deadline to get the issue on the November ballot.
They will need around 15,582 valid signatures to get on the ballot.
The measure would allow adults 21 and older the ability to possess up to one ounce of marijuana flower, four grams of concentrate and 300 milligrams of edibles.
They would be available at a limited number of licensed dispensaries.
Voters in North Dakota rejected an effort to legalize marijuana in 2018 and 2022.
