Boater Loses Control And Is Tossed Into Lake Miltona, Boat Keeps Going In Circles

DOUGLAS CO., Minn. (KVRR)  — A mishap on Lake Miltona sends a boater into the water and his boat left going around in circles.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was called to the lake around 5:30 Tuesday evening.

They say 66-year-old John Colton of Clarissa was reaching for something when he lost control and was tossed out of the boat.

He was wearing a lifejacket.

Witnesses raced to get him out of the water.

The sheriff’s office says Colton’s boat was left spinning until it ran out of gas.
