Fire damages West Fargo home

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – West Fargo firefighters responded to a fire at a home at 3008 7th Street East at 3:19 a.m. Friday.
Fire Chief Dan Fuller says a passerby thought it was a bonfire at first but realized it was a fire burning up against the house and waking up the residents living there.
Fuller says there are always more fires around July 4 and he says it’s almost always connected to discarded fireworks. However, he says it has not been determined what caused the fire that started in a trash can outside the house.
Firefighters knocked the fire down in under 5 minutes.
Two or three people and several dogs in the house were okay.
The damage is estimated at $35,000.
