UPDATE: Christopher Kvatum Has Been Located
(UPDATE 2:45pm 07/24/24) — Christopher Kvatum has been located and is safe.
Roberts County Sheriff’s Office says he is being provided with help and support.
(UPDATE 8PM 07/23/24) — An update from the sheriff’s office in Roberts County, South Dakota as they search for Christopher Kvatum.
As of 8 p.m. Tuesday deputies say they have located his vehicle however he has not been located.
They believe Kvatum is currently suffering from a mental health crisis and may be unaware that he is being looked for.
They also believe he is armed and you should not approach him if you spot him.
Kvatum is a white male in his late 40s, partially bald and approximately 6’1″ and 210 pounds.
He was last seen on backroads near Summit.
If you spot him, call 911.
ROBERTS CO., S.D. (KVRR) — The sheriff’s office in Roberts County, South Dakota is asking for help in locating Christopher Kvatum.
He is the subject of an investigation that authorities are not releasing further details about.

He was last seen driving a gray Toyota Camry sedan with South Dakota plates “55C C40”.
He was last seen on backroads near Summit.
