Naytahwaush Woman Appears To Have Died of Sepsis, Not Gunshot Wounds

MAHNOMEN CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A Naytahwaush, Minnesota woman that was found last night bleeding from the arm and unresponsive was not the victim of a shooting, but rather sepsis.

She died at Mahnomen Health Center.
A preliminary exam by UND Forensic Pathology Center revealed that the victim had two IV wounds from a previous surgery that had become severely infected, causing an artery in the arm to bleed.
