Bakery, cafe will take over former Altony’s location in Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Something sweet is coming to south Moorhead.

Sifted & Sweet Baking Co. is taking over the former Altony’s location at 800 Holiday Drive.

The Italian restaurant closed in early July.

Sifted & Sweet Baking Co. has been operating as a home bakery since 2019.

They sell everything from cookies and cakes to bars and rolls.

Some of their hot sellers are decorated sugar cookies, along with chocolate chip, monster, and molasses cookies.

They new location will also be a cafe where they will offer coffee, breakfast and lunch menus.

The plan is to also hold special events like dessert night out, high tea service, and cookie classes.

The owner says they are hoping to open sometime in October.
