Dog Attacks Officer While Arresting Man For Trespassing in North Fargo Apartment Building

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo officer is being treated for multiple dog bites while attempting to arrest a man for trespassing Tuesday night.
Police say 38-year-old Zakariya Abdikarim barricaded the door of an apartment in the 300 block of 7th Avenue North.
He made threats towards the officers and refused to cooperate and come out.
Pepper balls were released into the room and then tear gas but he still refused to come out.
Police removed the door from the hinges and arrested Abdikarim for burglary and preventing arrest.
That is when a dog bit an officer a number of times.
The officer was taken to the hospital to be treated.
