Street Flooding In Bismarck, Stalled Vehicles After Slow Moving Thunderstorm

BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — A slow moving thunderstorm that dropped between three to four inches of rain on Bismarck-Mandan has caused quite a mess.

This video is from East Broadway Avenue in Bismarck taken around 6:45 Tuesday evening and shared by Stacy Sturm, co-owner of URL Radio and Oscar’s.

You can see water is right up to the entryway for a number of businesses.

Some are dealing with water damage on the floor or coming from the ceiling.

Sturm found some water had spread across sections of the carpet inside the radio station, but better than she expected.

North Dakota Highway Patrol was warning drivers about avoiding water filled roads, underpasses and ramps in Bismarck saying multiple vehicles had stalled in the water.

Elsewhere there are reports of downed trees.
