Seven candidates file to run for Moorhead School Board

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Moorhead Area Public Schools says seven candidates have filed to run for a spot on its school board.

There are four seats open on the board.

Cassidy Bjorklund, Melissa Burgard, Scott Steffes and Matt Valan are all running for re-election.

Three new candidates are seeking seats on the board: Marissa Ahlering, Azad Berwari and Mark Rice.

The elected members will serve four-year terms, beginning their tenure in January 2025.
