Park River Man on Bike Injured After Getting Hit on State Highway 17

WALSH CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A Park River, North Dakota man has severe injuries after being hit while biking on State Highway 17.

It happened around 5:15 p.m.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says 67-year-old Dennis Loewen made an abrupt maneuver and turned north toward the school.

He swerved into the path of a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Brenden Erickson of Grafton and was broadsided.

Loewen was taken to Unity Hospital for treatment.

No charges have been filed.

The crash remains under investigation.
