LIVE: Downtown Grand Forks Street Fair kicks off Friday

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — As summer vacation winds down, the Grand Forks Street Fair is offering you a chance to get out and enjoy the weather this weekend.

The fair will feature over 100 vendors, along with music, a 10K run and free yoga classes.

Svea Benefield with the Downtown Development Association says that events like these help bring people to Downtown who might not have come otherwise to support local businesses as well as their vendors.

And she adds that the growth they’ve seen has been awesome.

“With the support from our community, and the support from our sponsors, we’re really getting to the point where we need to add streets in order to add vendors. And I think that’s just really exciting for all of the hard work that we put in.”
