Boy escapes fire that destroyed home in north Moorhead
MOOHREAD, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) – A boy jumps from a second story window to escape the smoke and flames as his house burns in north Moorhead.
Moorhead, Dilworth and Fargo firefighters responded to the Country Heritage Development this afternoon around 1:45.
Heavy black smoke could be seen for miles.
The boy jumped before crews could arrive on the scene.
Initial reports suggest that there were also three dogs in the home, with one of the dogs being rescued by fire crews.
“Fire units arrived on scene a short time later, and found a completely involved fire from front to back on this house, and started to put water on the fire.”
The extent of the boy’s injuries are not being released, but he was seen by paramedics on the scene.
The home was destroyed.
