Fall College & University Enrollment: Highest in 40 Years at NDSCS, Record Enrollment at VCSU

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Area colleges are seeing enrollment increases this fall with North Dakota State College of Science reporting its highest enrollment in over 40 years.
The college has 3,367 students, a 7 .2% increase from last year.
Its enrollment record was set in 1981 with 3,422 students.
Valley City State University announcing it has set an enrollment record.
It has more than 1800 students for the first time in school history with 1806.
Last fall the university had 1754 students.
Over the last 10 years, VCSU’s headcount has grown more than 31 percent and the university set fall enrollment records nine out of the 10 years.
Concordia College in Moorhead is seeing a 28% jump in new students.
The college’s largest number of incoming students since 2018 includes nearly 560 first-year and 40 transfer students.
And after years of declining enrollment, NDSU reports it is now stabilizing.
The Fargo university has 11,952 students, the exact same number as last fall.
Enrollment numbers include an 18% increase in transfer students.
