Man From The Netherlands Killed in UTV Crash In Otter Tail County

OTTER TAIL CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A young man from the Netherlands is dead after a UTV crash in Otter Tail County.

When the UTV crashed and rolled Sunday morning near Urbank, Minnesota, 21-year-old Jim Jan was thrown and the vehicle landed on him.

Attempts were made to get the UTV off of him before first responders arrived but they were unsuccessful.

Jan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the UTV, 43-year-old Jan Nijland of Brandon, was life flighted due to his injuries.

His current condition is unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
