Resources available for families without child care after Dilworth daycare abruptly closes

CLAY COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) –After the recent closure of a Dilworth daycare, Clay County leaders want to remind people of the resources that are out there during times like these.
Information of openings and available child care can be found at www.parentaware.org.
There are also services available for family or friends that may be stepping in to help those who lost child care.
If you own or operate a daycare in Clay County and you have openings, they would like to hear from you.

To parents and primary caregivers who are impacted by the center’s closing, or who are
struggling to access child care in our county, we know this is a stressful time and we
want you to know there are resources:
• Information on openings and available child care can be found at
www.ParentAware.org or by calling 888-291-9811.
• CAPLP Child Care Aware provides services for family members, friends, or
neighbors who may be stepping in to provide care in this situation, and support
includes services for non-English speaking parents and caregivers. Call Migdalia

• Families receiving an MN Early Learning Scholarship who have questions about
transferring that scholarship to another program can contact CAPLP Scholarship
Team member Matti at 218-512-1598.
• CAPLP Head Start is available for preschool-aged children. Contact Tiffany at
