A Clay County Grand Jury Indicts Isaac Arndt For the Murder of Jaelyn Walker

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A Clay County Grand Jury has indicted Isaac Arndt for First Degree Murder with Premeditation and Second Degree Murder with Intent in the death of 14-year-old Jaelyn Walker.
The 18-year-old Arndt was arraigned on the indictment today and Judge Jade Rosenfeldt set bail at $4 million dollars without conditions or $2 million dollars with conditions.
If convicted of First degree Murder with Premeditation, Arndt would face a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment.
He was previously charged with 2nd degree murder with intent.
Arndt is accused of stabbing his 14-year-old former girlfriend to death and leaving her to die near the Red River in Moorhead in August.
Court documents say Arndt admitted to police that he stabbed her 13 times and cut her throat.
He was arrested in Fargo.
His next hearing is scheduled for November 7.
