Fire On Deck Spreads, House A Total Loss North of Osakis, MN

OSAKIS, Minn. (KVRR) — A house is lost in a fire north of Osakis, Minnesota.

Around 10:45 this morning, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office got calls about the fire along County Road 10 near Bird Lake Road northeast.

The homeowners were inside when they noticed flames on the deck near the hot tub.

The flames quickly spread to the rest of the house.

They were able to escape.

Osakis Fire Department got the fire out but the house appears to be a total loss.

The cause is under investigation by the sheriff’s office and State Fire Marshal.
