Early Voting And Mail Ballot Deadlines For Our Region

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Early voting is now underway in Stutsman County at the courthouse in Jamestown through Saturday.
It begins Tuesday in Cass and Grand Forks counties.
In Cass, polling locations are at the Cass County Courthouse, Fargodome, Northview Church, Ramada, Red River Valley Fairgrounds and Casselton Days Inn.
There is a slight change in early voting on Saturday when the polls move from Fargodome to Fargo North High School due to the Bison game.
Polls will be open 11-7 each day except for Saturday when it’s 11-5.
In Grand Forks, you can vote early at Alerus Center from 10-6 through Friday and 10-2 on Saturday.
If you are voting by mail, United States Postal Service says your ballot should be mailed by Tuesday, October 29.
That is tomorrow.
The postal service is anticipating an uptick of ballots over the coming days and they are taking extraordinary measures to make sure they reach election officials.
They are doing extra deliveries and collections, special pick-ups and local handling and transportation of ballots.
The Postal Service anticipates similar service performance numbers as seen in the 2020 general election when 99.8 percent of ballots mailed were delivered within a week.
On average, the Postal Service delivered ballots from voters to election officials in 1.6 days.
