Valley City Woman Killed in Crash With Semi Near Sanborn, N.D.
BARNES CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A Valley City woman is dead after the vehicle she was a passenger in was hit by a semi near Sanborn, North Dakota.
The crash happened after 8 this morning.
The semi hauling soybeans was westbound on country road 22 when it hit the vehicle driven by a 15-year-old girl from Valley City at the intersection with State Highway 1.
All three occupants were taken to Mercy Hospital in Valley City, where the 46-year-old woman was pronounced dead.
The teen driver was then taken to Sanford Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi is a 59-year-old man from Sanborn and has serious injuries.
Names of the adults will be released at a later time.
The crash remains under investigation by North Dakota Highway Patrol.
