FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Another Cass County North Dakota deputy is facing criminal charges.

Sheriff Jesse Jahner says deputy Philip Larson was charged Monday in Clay County District Court with giving alcohol to someone under 21. Larson has been on administrative leave since October.

A separate case involving former deputy Darin Viken remains under investigation by the Grand Forks County State’s Attorney’s Office. Viken was let go in July of this year. Details surrounding the investigation have not been released.

Meanwhile, former deputy Carson Quam has been charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Court records show investigators from North Dakota BCI found 10 photos of child porn on Quam’s phone. Jahner was notified of the investigation in September and Quam resigned in November.

In a statement, Jahner says his agency is extremely upset and disappointed to learn about the alleged behavior. He also says his agency does comprehensive background checks.
