“Fargo Street” – Concordia Professor Shares His Unique Prospective of Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Concordia English professor recently had a book signing at Barnes and Noble in Fargo and sold out of his book, “Fargo Street”.

It features 100 black-and-white photos of places and people around Fargo.

He started taking pictures six years ago and published the book in October.

He’ll be having his next book signing this Saturday at Barnes and Noble.

Olsen says he wanted to display these photos together to showcase what life in Fargo is like.

“Fargo has a unique character and that is expressed in the way people look and the way they behave and the way they interact with each other on the street. So I started looking for those moments that I thought were uniquely Fargo,” said W. Scott Olsen, English Professor at Concordia.

Olsen is working on several series about small towns and small-town cafes for his next projects.
