Hollywood Film Editor Jeffrey Ford Speaks To MSUM Film Students

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Hollywood film editor Jeffrey Ford is known for editing iconic Marvel films like “The Avengers”.

He is talking about his career with film students at MSUM.

From a hobby into a career, Ford explored various outlets and worked alongside filmmakers.

He says starting out he didn’t have connections in Hollywood, but the people he met along the way helped him get to where he is now.

His main message to students was if you like something you chase after it.

“If you’re so constantly trying to fix it, you can’t fix it because you’re not listening. And that happens with the collaborative too. Let the directors talk, listen to what they’re saying, listen to what they really really want to rather than just trying to solve the problem all the time,” said Jeffrey Ford, Film Editor.

Ford is currently working on two Avengers movies and will be doing more work on Independent cinema.
