LIVE: Clevy’s Christmas Fund

FARGO — It started as a way to play Santa: fulfilling Christmas gift wishes for kids with cancer at Sanford.

And now, after 13 years of giving, it’s an annual tradition of financial help for them and their families.

Mike “Clevy” Clevenger is the creator of Clevy’s Christmas Fund.

It’s a recognized nonprofit in the state of North Dakota, that gives gift cards and hotel vouchers to the families of children getting care at Sanford’s Roger Maris Pediatric Cancer Center.

This year along, Sanford’s diagnosed 54 new child cancer patients.

Clevenger joined the Morning Show for a live interview about why he started the nonprofit, the difference it can make for the families, and what it’s like meeting the health care workers who treat the children.
