Sanford Health Unveils Top Baby Names of 2024

The name Oliver continued its dominance in the boys category, winning for the 4th year in a row.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR Local News) – As the year 2024 comes to a close, many enjoy looking back at some of the stats accumulated over the past 12 months.

Sanford Health is even getting in on the action.

The health system has released its top baby names of 2024.

For the boys – Oliver continues its dominance. That’s its 4th year in a row at the number one spot. Henry was second, followed by Liam rounding out the top 3.

For the girls – a new champion was crowned! Lainey topped the list for the first time, followed by Amelia at 2 and Evelyn at 3.

Sanford Health has delivered nearly 9,000 babies so far in 2024, with July being the month with the highest number of births. The average weight for babies born in 2024 is 7 pounds 3 ounces.
