Fire destroys homeless encampment in Fargo

FARGO (KVRR) – Firefighters were called to a fire at a homeless encampment near downtown Fargo Friday morning.
The fire was reported at 8:21 a.m. near the Red River in the 500-block of Oak Street.
Crews were able quickly put out the fire.
One fire engine, two ambulances and Fargo police responded. It’s not known whether anyone was injured.
There was no immediate word on a cause.
