Holiday Sleigh Rides Being Offered In Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides take flight at the M.B. Johnson Park in Moorhead.

The sleigh rides are hosted by Rusty K Ranch, a family-run ranch with a history of owning horses for over fifty years.

The ranch has about 25 horses, some for riding and others to pull the sleigh.

The two horses pulling the sleigh this afternoon are Sallie Mae, a 4-year-old, and Cici, who is 17 years old.

Each family member from the Ranch brings a fun experience to each rider.

“For the riders, probably the thing they get out of it the most, is just kind of reconnecting with slowing down in life. You know the horses don’t move at a fast pace, so we always say ‘Oh well people live life back way back when at a slower pace,’” said Derik Kraft, Owner of Rusty K Ranch.

Sleigh Rides continue this weekend and there are still open slots available.

You can contact Moorhead Parks and Recreation for details.
