Mother’s in Moorhead is set to close after decades in business
MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — After over 50 years in business, Mother’s on Main Avenue in Moorhead is closing.
The locally owned record and gift store open since 1970 will close for good on March 1.
Brady Bredell took over the store from his father Dan Bredell who died of Covid 19 complications in early 2021.
In a social media post, Brady says he made the difficult decision to close the store with great sadness.
He says Mother’s never fully recovered from the pandemic. He also cites personal health issues as part of his decision to close.
He may relocate to Santa Fe, New Mexico to be closer to family.
The announcement comes just days after Vinyl Giant and Game Giant in Fargo said it would close next month.
