Popular “Fargo-Moorhead Eats” Facebook Group Hits One Million Views Per Month

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Local Facebook group “Fargo-Moorhead Eats” is celebrating a milestone by reaching around one million views per month.

It’s a grassroots page for foodies in the metro and surrounding areas.

Created three years ago, the group now has nearly 43,000 members.

The page is full of posts from local food vendors showing off their latest creations and even local media stories on new and upcoming restaurants.

The man who started the group after the pandemic to highlight and promote local food establishments that suffered greatly during lockdowns says the success is a nice surprise.

“Seeing over one million views on a local Facebook group is impressive. It’s actually incredible. And I just want to thank the community for all their posts, and all their comments, and all their activity.,” said group founder and manager Rick Gion.

One very popular post at Christmas highlighted this year’s Christmas Eve meal at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo.
