Gas prices jump again, analysts blame war and ‘switch over’ to summer blends

FARGO (KVRR) – The average price of a gallon of gas jumped about 11 cents overnight, to a national average of $3.11 according to AAA.
Gas prices in the Fargo-Moorhead area are also on the rise. Some outlets were back up to around $2.80 per gallon Tuesday morning.
In North Dakota, the average price statewide is around $2.75 per gallon, Minnesota’s average price is nearly $3.00 per gallon.
Retail prices were already rising before the U.S. launched strikes on Iran as refiners switch over to summer blends of fuel, but crude futures have also risen sharply because of the war.
