NDSU Hosts Regional LEGO League Qualifier
The winners move on with the chance to represent the F-M area in a national competition.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Local students snapped on their interchangeable hard hats and got to work trying to be the best in a LEGO League competition.
NDSU College of Engineering hosted its first ever LEGO League regional qualifier at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
Teams comprised of kids from grades 4 to 7 competed in what essentially is a programming and robotics competition.
The children had to program their LEGO robots to complete as many tasks as possible in a set amount of time.
Event organizers said it was amazing to see kids this age being so interested in scientific activity.
“It’s just so exciting,” said NDSU College of Engineering outreach coordinator Angela Gross.
“I coached robotics for a while, so I know the hard work it takes, and how much the students actually develop. They grow so much. Not just academically, but personally.”
