Pepperball Rounds Used To Arrest West Fargo Man After Pursuit

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — West Fargo Police arrest 55-year-old Shane Koenig after a short pursuit that ended with a PIT maneuver and pepperballs.

An officer tried to stop Koenig for a traffic violation just after midnight but he fled.

The chase headed north on Sheyenne Street and then west on 26th Avenue West where his vehicle was stopped.

Koenig would not comply with instructions so pepperball rounds were shot into his vehicle.

Officers then took him into custody.

After he was cleared at a hospital, Koenig was booked for fleeing, DUI, terrorizing, preventing arrest, driving under suspension, and an outstanding warrant.
