St. Michael, ND Man Sentenced For Child Abuse and Child’s Death in Indian Country

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A St. Michael, North Dakota man is sentenced to 40 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to three counts of child abuse in Indian country.

30-year-old Collin Delorme Sr. was charged in the death of a one-year-old child in February 2023 and for the abuse of a second child.

An autopsy concluded the cause of death was “battered child” due to multiple, repeated injuries.

The child’s internal injuries were untreated, leading to infection and sepsis.

Co-defendant Kenzie Baker, the mother of the child, pleaded guilty to charges in August and will be sentenced February 24.
