Two drivers charged in crash that killed two horses in Ward County

FARGO (KVRR) – The drivers of two vehicles involved in a crash that killed two horses in Ward County are facing charges.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 20 year-old Ian Lindgren of Farmington, Minnesota was driving a van that collided with a pickup driven by 34 year-old Jessica Gjovig of Fortuna.
The crash happened on March 7 at around 7:17 a.m. at the intersection of Highways 83 and 23.
Lindgren is charged with interstate driver not 21 years of age, no valid medical card, logbook not current, operating without proper operating authority, driving in violation of 14-hour rule and failure to yield.
Gjovig is charged with driving without a license. She sustained minor injuries.
Two horses died, a third horse was in injured.
This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
