Woman facing murder charges in fatal northwestern Minnesota shooting

HALLOCK, Minn. (KVRR-KFGO) – A Kennedy, Minnesota woman has been charged with second and third-degree murder for the shooting death of a man at his home in Hallock in northwestern Minnesota.

The Kittson County Attorney’s Office has charged Jordan Hanson, 23.

The criminal complaint filed Friday says Hanson was arrested at the home of her mother in Kennedy not long after the shooting was reported Thursday afternoon. A handgun was recovered in the home. Hanson and the victim were known to one another.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.
