Mega Millions $344 Million Jackpot Winner in Illinois As Game Is About To Undergo Big Changes

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Mega Millions announces another big jackpot winner as the lottery game undergoes some big changes next month.
A ticket sold in Illinois had all six numbers for last night’s jackpot worth $344 million.
One ticket matched five numbers in Florida for a payout of $2 million.
Starting April 5, sales begin for the new version of Mega Millions.
Ticket prices will increase to $5 each and you will no longer have to pay extra for the Megaplier, it will be built-in.
The value of the lower end prizes will increase and there will be improved overall odds.
“The new Mega Millions game will offer enhancements that bring excitement as well as value,” said Randy Miller,
interim director of the North Dakota Lottery.
“Players who had won $2 in the old game could now win $10 to $50 under this game. Those who had won $500 under the old game could win $1,000
to $5,000 in this new game. That’s the kind of excitement the new Mega Millions will deliver to our players here in North Dakota.”
Jackpots will start at $50 million instead of the current $20 million.
There will be a minimum prize of $10 on a winning play.
