FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – Federal agents are leading the investigation into an arson fire last week in the parking lot of Scheels All Sports on 45th St. S in Fargo. It appeared that there was an attempt to set a Tesla charging station on fire.

A spokeswoman for the agency says the Fargo Field Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is in charge of the investigation and working with Fargo Police.

ATF special agents and an ATF Certified Fire Investigator were notified of the fire shortly after the fire department responded to the scene.

The fire was reported around 3:15 a.m. Friday.

At the scene, a Fargo Fire Department Battalion Chief said he wasn’t sure whether the fire originated from the chargers or in wood chips around them.
