Man Who Died After Being Pulled From Red River in Moorhead is Identified

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The man whose body was pulled from the Red River in Moorhead last week has been identified as 63-year-old Robert Cartwright.

Moorhead Police say the cause of death is still under investigation with help from Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

They say preliminary autopsy information does not indicate any suspicious circumstances.

Police were called to the 4300 block of South Riverhaven Road on a missing person report on Wednesday.

They found Cartwright unresponsive in the water and he was taken to Sanford Medical Center was he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the circumstances leading up to Cartwright entering the water are still under investigation.
