Charges Filed In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash Involving Bicyclist in Downtown Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Hawley, Minnesota man involved in a deadly hit and run crash in downtown Fargo is charged with a felony.
42-year-old Jeremy Jorgenson is charged with one court of duty in accident involving death.
Jorgenson is accused of hitting 61-year-old Bernd Scholz of Fargo while he was on his bicycle at the intersection of NP Avenue and 10th Street North around 8 p.m. on March 12.
Witnesses say a white SUV hit the bicycle and fled the scene.
Scholz was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
