FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KVRR) — Two people from Moorhead are convicted for conspiracy to possess meth with intent to distribute.

A federal jury convicted 58-year-old Alberto Lopez, Jr. and 46-year-old Terri Weideman.

During the February trial, it was uncovered that law enforcement executed a search warrant on a suspicious package intercepted in North Dakota.

Law enforcement found over nine pounds of meth.

They removed a majority of the drugs but added a tracking device to the package, and returned it to an area rental unit.

Lopez, Jr. retrieved the package and brought it home.

Weideman worked at a Fargo property management company and had been providing the addresses of vacant rental units and facilitated the shipments from California.

In total, 12 pounds of meth was seized.
