Democrat Rep. Angie Craig Launches U.S. Senate Run in Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR) — Democrat Rep. Angie Craig announcing her run for U.S. Senate in Minnesota.
She is seeking the seat being vacated by Sen. Tina Smith in 2026.
Craig was elected to the U.S. House in 2018 in Minnesota’s 2nd District.
Before that she worked in journalism and human resources.
Fellow Democrats including former Sen. Al Franken and Attorney General Keith Ellison are already endorsing Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan for the seat.
Former Senate Minority Leader Melissa Lopez-Franzen is also running.
Republicans in the race include Adam Schwarze and Royce White, who lost to Amy Klobuchar in 2024.
