Moorhead man arrested in West Fargo on 34-year-old warrant

WEST FARGO — West Fargo police arrested a man suspected to have a 34-year-old warrant on Thursday, May 1.

According to the West Fargo Police Department, officers pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered that a passenger had possible warrants.

Officers learned that the passenger had a felony warrant from 1991 in Burleigh County for gross sexual imposition of a minor.

Gerald Lynn Mays, 62, from Moorhead was arrested for the outstanding warrant as well as another warrant from Missouri and for possession of marijuana.

According to police, Mays has been extradited to Burleigh County and is being held in the Burleigh Morton Detention Center in Bismarck.
