Grand Forks Mayor Bochenski Touts Sports Complex And Agristo In “State of the City” Address
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Quality of life and attracting and retaining a workforce was the key theme of Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochesnki’s State of the City address.
The mayor talked about many accomplishments including having five years of a budget surplus, U-A-S development and new companies.
Altru Sports Complex groundbreaking is planned for June and was approved by voters.
They are also nearing a groundbreaking on Grand Forks Children’s Museum and $30 million has been raised.
The mayor even joked about potholes saying he has not received a single complaint about them in a year on KNOX.
“The city continues to cut expenses while making investments that improve our roads, health and quality of life. I’ve got tremendous faith in the team we have built in the city and that our decisions made today will benefit the community for decades to come,” said Bochenski.
The biggest future project for the city is a new, $450 million potato processing plant by Agristo.
The groundbreaking is expected next spring.
