Minnesota State Patrol squad car involved in crash

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A Minnesota State Patrol trooper’s vehicle gets hit by another vehicle while heading to assist police in south Moorhead with an uncooperative person.

The trooper was driving southbound on 20th Street South when they drove into the intersection of 30th Avenue South and was hit by an SUV.

It happened around 10:40 a.m. and the roads were wet from the rain.

Trooper Ben Bauer and the four people inside the Toyota Highlander were not hurt.

The squad car had to be towed from the scene. The crash is being investigated by Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
