UPDATE: Police identify deceased man found near river

UPDATE: Fargo Police have identified the deceased man found by a fisherman in Oak Grove Park as 28-year-old Aaron Brook Hadley.

Hadley had no permanent address.

The police are working with the Cass County Coroner’s Office and Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death, and it remains under investigation.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — An unresponsive man is found by a fisherman walking in a wooded area of Oak Grove Park in Fargo.

He called 9-1-1 around 1:45 Sunday afternoon and police responded to the 100 block of Maple Street North near the Red River.

The call was initially dispatched as a water rescue but that was called off after police arrived and discovered that the man was dead.

An investigation is now underway and police are asking anyone with information to contact Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701.451.7660 and ask to speak with an FPD Shift Commander.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by texting keyword FARGOPD and the tip to 847411.

The man’s identity will be released once relatives have been notified.
