Italian Moon Pizza and Mexican Food in Grand Forks to close after 60 years

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — A Grand Forks restaurant staple is closing its doors after 60 years in business.

Italian Moon Pizza and Mexican Food announced on its website that the final three days of service will be June 18, 19 and 20.

They wrote that the decision was not made lightly and called the business a gathering place for families, friends, celebrations and everyday moments.

Italian Moon started in Febuary 1965 by Keith Moon on South Washington Street.

It changed hands in the 1970’s and again in 2015.

They are inviting people to join them and share one last meal together.
