RiverArts Kicks off in Moorhead
The concert and outdoor extravaganza series features five installments this summer.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – The sounds of summer are filling the air down by the Red River in Moorhead.
RiverArts kicked off today in Viking Ship Park.
The event series takes place over five Wednesdays in the summer.
The June 11th installment featured musical performances from Fargo’s Hardanger fiddle group and Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome.
There were also tents from local businesses like Swing Barrel Brewing and even a petting zoo.
Moorhead Parks & Rec say that it’s a wonderful omen for the start of summer.
“I think we have such beautiful parks,” said Steve French, special events coordinator.
“It just means a lot to me that we’re able to make this happen and bring everybody together.”
