Man indicted in Moorhead drive-by killing

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A grand jury has indicted Jerome Anthony Thomas III on charges of Second Degree Murder with Intent, Attempted First Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree murder in the death of James Hamilton.

Moorhead Police were dispatched on the morning of April 13th around 9:30 AM to the area of 2701 14th Street South for a call of shots fired. when they arrived they found 39-year-old Hamilton in the driveway with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was declared dead at the scene.

Thomas’s bail has been set at $6 million without conditions, or $4 million with various conditions including pretrial supervision. His next hearing is scheduled for August 28th. He is facing a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment.
