Cass County Electric Cooperative Sunday storm restoration update

Approximately 3,550 accounts are still without service
(5:30 PM SUNDAY UPDATE)
Arthur Area
Minnkota crews are currently working on the Gardner-to-Grandin transmission line and expect it to be energized later today. This work required a temporary outage at the Gardner Substation, so members who briefly had power earlier may have experienced a second outage. Power should return once this work is complete.
The Grandin Substation will also be energized as part of this process. Following that, Minnkota will replace one final structure on the Arthur-Page line, with energization expected by early evening.
CCEC crews have been making strong progress on distribution system repairs in Arthur and Hunter. Power is expected to be restored to most of Arthur and approximately 75% of Hunter by tonight.
Kindred Service Area
Crews are currently working west of Leonard, where progress continues. Minnkota estimates that the Anselm Substation will be back in service by Monday.
Lisbon Service Area
Minnkota plans to be on site in a few hours to replace a damaged structure and energize the Lisbon, Fort Ransom, and Enderlin substations.
CCEC crews have completed the majority of repairs around the Lisbon and Fort Ransom areas—power should be restored tonight in those communities. Work continues in and around Enderlin, and restoration there is also expected this evening.
Valley City Service Area
Once work is complete in the Arthur/Page area, Minnkota will begin repairs at the Pillsbury Substation, where five structures are down. Restoration is expected late tonight or more likely tomorrow (Monday).
Meanwhile, CCEC crews are working on repairs near Lake Ashtabula and the Rogers area.
System Status & Member Request
Our crews are actively isolating damaged sections of the system and using alternate feeds to restore power wherever possible. This approach allows us to bring power back sooner—but it also puts additional strain on the system.
We kindly ask members to refrain from using large drying loads until permanent repairs are completed and all substations are back online.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. We are monitoring the weather to help ensure the safety of our crews. Should severe weather occur or other unexpectedected technical difficulties occur, restoration may lag behind what we stated here, but please know that every effort is being made to restore service safely and efficiently.
Stay safe—and as always, stay away from downed power lines and report any hazards to us immediately at 701-356-4400.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/FACEBOOK) Power has been restored to more than 300 accounts, with more coming back online as progress continues.
Approximately 3,550 accounts are still without service as Cass County Electric employees and lineworkers work throughout the weekend to reconnect as many members as possible.
While our communications team monitors social media after hours, we do not have access to account-specific information.
For outage reporting or account questions, please contact our Power Control Center, available 24/7, at 701-355-4400 or use the Cass County Electric mobile app.
We also want to remind everyone to stay clear of downed wires, poles, and damaged equipment. Always assume these lines are live and allow trained crews to handle cleanup and repairs.
