LIVE: UND and MSUM coaches talk growth of women’s game ahead of Women’s Euros

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – With the Club World Cup and Gold Cup already in full swing, even more soccer is on the way with the Women’s Euros.

The premier European International competition in women’s soccer is looking to be more competitive than ever, with the growth in the women’s game sweeping more and more countries.

It’s something that the coaches at UND and MSUM say the growth in the game has been inspiring to them and their players.

They say they’ve seen their players grow more competitive with the greater opportunities to go pro.

“That’s phenomenal for these young ladies, to see what is possible if I really put my heart into it, and I try my hardest, I can make it to the next level.” UND coach Henrik Sohn said.

“That change up and that surprise of coming and being part of a competitive team that makes you have to get better as well, I think that’s one of the great things about soccer.” MSUM coach Scott Forster said.

The Women’s Euros will kickoff tomorrow on KVRR, the full schedule of games can be found here.
